A four-way collaboration between two Swedish breweries and two German breweries brewed at our Gothenburg brewery. A German Pale Ale brewed with German Ale Yeast.

4 way. 4 breweries. Their ideas, their wills, this was always going to be an easy beer to make. Fruity esters from the yeast and citrusy tones from the hops are built on top of a malt body in the aroma, with a fairly pronounced grassy bitterness, reminiscent of a lager. Hopped with Hallertau Blanc, Cascade and Citra keeping traditional lager tones with a modern twist.

Can. Almost clear gold with a dense 1/2 inch white head that never quite disappears. 3+ Somewhat puddingy lemon and Seville orange aroma with fairly crackery malt behind. The malt is sternish and barely sweet but it's enough of a platform for the pleasant citrus and slight herbal notes. Pretty firm bitterness. Pretty tasty, characterful (although nothing about it really said German pale ale to me - but what would?).

Can 330ml (KSM Kampus)
Hazy yellow-orange colour, small steady white head and lace. Tangerine, citrus, marmalade, grass in the nose. Light-bodied. Crisp and a bit grainy, grass, citrus. German hops and grains? Ok.

33cl can from Pien Shop& Bar, Helsinki. The beer poured unclear and deep golden with a thick white head. Grapefruity bite with a malty backbone. Fruity and hoppy with some pine notes . Light bitterness. Metallic notes as first that later faded away. Quite refreshing.
