Gyle No. 427. In March 2016 we devoted a third of our cellar capacity to a single beer, DIPA v3. We are excited to brew it again as faithfully as we can to the original recipe. Hot side additions see the return of whole cone, new season Chinook and Citra hops, followed by an 8 g/L cold side dry hop, featuring Centennial, Citra, Mosaic, and Comet. It was fermented with WLP095 instead of the original Vermont ale yeast. 8.5% ABV

440ml can from Hop Burns & Black. Vertical with v3.1. Canned 270418. Pours orange with a smooth foamy head. Aroma of malts, fruity hops, pine, citrus, grass, herbal notes, juicy tropical notes and hints of caramel. Taste is smooth, sweetish and crisp hoppy with some malts, caramel, pine, citrus, grass, juicy tropical fruits and herbal notes. Finish is sweetish, malty and hoppy with some pine, citrus, grass, juicy fruits and herbal notes, hints of bitterness. A pretty nice juicy west coast DIPA. Quite different compared to v3.1. Both are quite good in their own way, but as an old skool hop head I liked this one more.

Draught @ MBCC 2018. Pours clear golden with an offwhite head, lacings. Aroma of malt, light caramel, grass, fruity hops, peach, citrus. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, malt, rich fruity, tropical fruit, peachy, citrus. Medium body, average carbonation, light sweet and light bitter finish. 110518

Can from Park Fever, Hither Green. Amber/gold pour with a white head. Aromas of mango, pineapple, papaya, pear, quite piney. Flavours of pineapple, melon, more mango, dessert pear. Lots of bitter hop in the finish. Good stuff.

Can shared at Columbus tasting 08/05/2018. Many thnaks! A mostly clear mid golden orange coloured pour with a lasting loose white head. Aroma is juicy orange and mango, onion, little alcohol on the nose. , hitns of toffee. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, base malts, orange rind, mango, spicy citrus, mango, green hop. Paalte is semi sweet, rounded resin, moderate carboantion. Nice. Stuff. Really well rouned, very drinkable.

Can from Cotteridge Wines; clear amber pour with a big frothy off white head, aroma has caramel and some pine, taste has sweet caramel, mango, fresh tangerine, slight dank, this isnโt as good as the first time round, thatโs not because dipas have evolved itโs just not brewed as well.

Can split at Kennys CPH fart dungeon, picked up from the online store, 10/05/18. Golden orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is pine needle, bitter orange, grapefruit, dank rip. Taste comprises mango flesh, orange pith, raw pineapple, toasted grains, soft breads, pine resin. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with semi dank hop bitterness. Decent enough DIPA but a good few notches from Cloudwaters best.

One-third pint, keg at Cloudwater Barrel Store Tap Room. Cloudy golden body,filmy white head, spotty lacing. Smell of grapefruit and pineapple. Juicy wheat flavours, fine mix of mango, grapefruit and pineapple. Soft fruity bitterness to the ending. Velvety smooth on the swallow. Fine depth. Well pleased. (Manchester 06.05.2018).
