Bottle. Deep dark brown color, almost opague. Roasted malt, dark chocolate and pepper in the pronounced aroma. Malty sweet flavor with salty notes, white pepper, roast, ash and coffee. Red pepper making a shy entrance in the aftertaste. Ok balance, to my surprise.

Bottle. A- Smoke, wood, mild leather, cocoa. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Char, leather, roasty, cocoa, mild smoke, mild bitterness. P- Full body, thick texture, average carbonation, complex finish. O- Loads of burnt roasted flavors. I detect a slight hint of chilies but really only adds to the general depth and no heat at all. Not sure about the sea salt. If it were smoked salt that would make sense. Really tasty. 5 years old.

Sample, bottled. Dark black brown color, short creamy dark brown head. Flavors of bitter chocolate, lots of toasted malts, coffee, chocolate. Hints of spices and candies, taste is light salty, full, quite bitter. Dense sticky texture, long finish. Tasty but very heavy.

Bottle from Eltham Wines, Eltham. Black pour with a tan head. Nose of woodsmoke, coffee, dark chocolate, raisin. Flavours of coffee, lots of smoke, currants, dark chocolate, spice. Smoky sweet finish. Complex, tasty brew.

A deep dark stout with a thick lacing brown head. In aroma, a bitter chocolate with coffee, vanilla, alcohol warmth, light licorice, very nice. In mouth, bitter sweet chocolate with vanilla,light chillies, licorice, alcohol warmth, very nice and Rich. On tap at Druggists Singapore.

Bottle shared @Bir&Fud Bottega (Rome). Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma color cappuccino abbondante e persistente. Al naso note di caffelatte, cioccolato fondente, spezie. In bocca è equilibrata, attacco dolce con finale amaro caffettoso, speziato, peperoncino discretamente dosato. Corpo pieno, carbonazione media. Un po' caotica, ma ok.
