Bottle at LKS. It pours hazy deep brown with a small light tan head. The aroma is earthy, toasty, charred, burnt cake, rocky road, dirt, vanilla, medicinal, spice and burnt wood. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, tar, burnt wood, dirty pine, earthy roast, cocoa, dark fruits, cocoa and burnt liquorice with a drying finish. Medium - full body and fine carbonation. Punchy stuff.

Bottle split at Bodney Mansions, thanks to LKS, 18/01/18. Light black with a well presented beige head. Nose is cocoa powder, charr, spice, toffee, light pine, earthy hop. Taste comprises brown bread, toffee, light black peppery spice, charr, cocoa rub, dried red berries. Medium bodied, spritzy/prickly carbonation, drying close. Ok CDA but overcarbed which lets this one down for me.
