Cask at Lych Gate, Wolverhampton. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a medium sized foamy tan head and good lacing. Roasted malts are prominent in the aroma together with hints of chocolate and dark fruits. In the mouth it is quite sweet, but with a little underlying sharpness. Flavour starts off as biscuits and honey, but later dark fruits come through plus traces of dark fruits and ginger leading to a tangy finish. This is quite decent.
