17th Sep 2018; monthly beer share in Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury, usual five suspects in attendance. Cheers Mike for this 'cobweb'; 500ml bottle, number 90 of 1,000 produced back in 2011. Anyway, it poured a deep amber colour, on top a wispy covering. It's a sweet malty brew that didn't quite make it to 2018 in a great condition, managed to finish my 100ml, but only just. Love our 'cobweb' tastings though.

500ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Sep '18, courtesy of Mike. Pours misty amber, off-white head. Aroma is grainy caramelised malt, cocoa dust. Taste is perhaps more oxidized, a little sulphuric, amber malt. Not at its best, but I probably have an accurate idea of what it's intentions were given the formulaic approach of Woods brewing generally.
