11th June 2018; Shrewsbury monthly meeting of a beer share group in Chez Sophie. 500ml bottle, BB 11th Apr 2019. Large puffy white head on a misty gold body. Cheers Mike for this offering. Yeasty aroma and taste, semi-sour with a bit too much carbonation for a Saison (IMHO). A real change from anything I've seen from Wye Valley and something I hope they build on.

500ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, June 18, courtesy of Mike. Pours a hazed gold, medium white head, light saison yeast on the nose. Taste presents a gentle, easy-going saison character, very mild yeast, barely discernible peppery notes, drying close. An ok introduction to the saison style, and no doubt a pleasantly different alternative to Wye's standard cask lineup, but it's otherwise largely unremarkable.
