Cask @ Salopian, the pub. Pours dark, small pale tan head. Aroma bears nice roast, coffee. Medium bodied, good roast and coffee presence, a little more chocolate would be welcome but on the whole a nice dry Irish-style cask stout.

Cask at Floodgate, Stafford The pour looked jet black to me, but that was in rather subdued lighting. Small cream head and good lacing anyway. Nose has roast malts and coffee. Roast malts again in the mouth along with chocolate and liquorice. The finish has bitter coffee grounds and is generally salty. A proper stout this one, nice and understated.

10th Dec 2018, hand-pulled, third of a pint at The Crown, Codsall Staffordshire. Black body with a tanned foaming top, typical Stout look. Malty with burnt coffee grains and dark chocolate in both the aroma and dry taste. A really good Irish style Stout.
