330ml bottle shared with Eric in Eecke. Bought direct from Au Pif near Steenvoorde. Pours a misty, mucky golden brown, some bubbly remnants atop. Aroma is intensely boozy, though distinct plummy fruits shine through. Taste is similarly rich, intensely sweet, sticky and unashamedly boozy, but has good clear stone fruit and plums emerging. Body isn't too heavy, leaning towards a slick sweet fruity barley wine character, though given the strength it's not too harsh, relying on its pure fruit presence to retain your attention. A real slow sipper, it's hard to imagine anyone committing to a full bottle themselves.
