31/1/2024. From BIAB at the 15th Colchester Winter Ale Festival. Pours cloudy very pale orange with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is quite sweet, apple juice, backed apple, hints of pineapple. Medium sweetness, light tartness. Moderate body, low carbonation. Drying apple finish, with extra pineapple. Quite okay.

Can from The Cat in the Glass, Manchester. Hazy gold pour. Dessert pear, peach, caramel & apple pie aromas. Taste is pear drops, caramel, banana, apple pie, sultanas. Dry very sweet finish .

On tap at The Made Inn Ashford . Clear gold colour thin rim of white bubbles. slightly sweet pear aroma but a little dry too still perry. some pear flavour some sweetness. OK. not remarkable but ok.

330ml can from Cat in the Glass. Hazy yellow colour, short-lived bubbly white foam head and aroma of baked apple, pear. Taste is sweet, juicy pear, some baked apple notes, with mellow light acidity. Medium bodied, low carbonation, medium-sweet finish. Quite drinkable.

Can thanks to Ashton McCobb. Pours hazy pale yellow with a short-lived thin white head. Aromas of apple crumble and sweet pear. Taste is also sweet, an almost custard note creeping in. Sweet finish.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - cloudy yellow with almost an edge of green. Like traditional cloudy lemonade. Nose - lovely fresh pear note, with pear skins and confected pear too. The apple is in the shade. Taste - fresh, generous, ripe pear. Palate - light to medium bodied, fruity but dry middle and finish. Acid is lower than expected had it been pure apple. Overall - nice.

Box @ Coracle. Pours a pinkish peachy colour. Unexpected pink grapefruit coming through, not overly perry-like, gentle light sweetness with a distant acidic tang on the finish. Ok.
