Authentic amber ''Bière de Garde'' made from raw materials exclusively from Nord-Pas de Calais. This characterful beer is amber-coppery in color. It has a rich, slightly caramelized taste and fine bitterness. It is typical of the amber beers that make the reputation of the North of France. The hops used are Brewer's Gold and Strisselspalt.

Flaska från Saveur Bieré. Smak och doft av humle, malt, brunt socker, karamell med toner av vanilj och bär och äpple. Lagom sötma, fruktig, fin beska.

Little cloudy amber to orange beer, creamy irregular beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: caramel, fruity, dried fruits, some banana. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, quite some chocoalte, bit of vegetables. Aftertaste: bit of banana, sugary touch, weird bitterness. Not a fan.

Bottle @ DØE Øllets Dag 2014, Kolding. Pours slightly hazy darkish orange amber with small off-white head. Clear aroma of fruit and malt, with notes of caramel and yeast. Sweet flavour of fruit and caramel malt. complemented by bitter hoppy notes. Bitter-sweet aftertaste. Booze in the second nose. Okay but not revolutionary.

Bottle shared with Joes and Dutchdrebus. Slightly unclear dark orange to light reddish color, small off-white head. Smell lightly malts, caramel and nuts. Taste malts, caramel, toasted malts, lightly sweet, lightly grains. Quite decently balanced and quite nice actually. Medium carbonation and body.

750 ml bottle @ Olympen, Oslo. Almost clear amber body with a moderate sized beige head. Not too strong in aroma, light malty, toast, some dry fruit and a hint of spicy yeast. Flavour is mild caramel malt, candy sugar, dry fruit and hint of yeast. Nice and drinkable, but a bit sweet in the end and really not to exiting. An amber bierde de garde with some elements of a Vienna in the flavour.

Appearance: Hazy amber color with a big bubbly off white head. Fine lacing.
Aroma: Caramel malt, herbal and light fruity.
Palate: Medium body. A bit sweet and moderate bitter. Some alcohol coming through. Average carbonation.
Taste: On the sweet side, light fruity, yeasty and some spices.
Overall impression: Nice tasty beer, but one bottle is more than enough. Could absolutely buy a new one.
Personal stats: Bottle from Vinmonopolet Nettbutikk (netstore), Norway.

Bottle. Has a clear amber colour with a very frothy light beige head. A lot of dried fruit in the aroma with with plums and dades. Pretty much wood, and leather as well, and some spices, nearly peppery. More wood and dried fruits in the flavour with also some chocolate, and with a hint of alcohol. Feels a bit belgian. Soft and a bit sparkly mouthfeel, and a medium woodish bitterness that lasts. An okay biere de garde but maybe more on the bitter side.
