Knockananna 6% Irish coffee Stout - brewed with cacao nibs & Brazilian coffee alongside oats and lactose. Aged on oak chips soaked in Jameson’s Irish whiskey and cold pressed coffee. Expect big notes of chocolate andcherry, with undertones of citrus and a silky mouthfeel

440ml can. Pours black with a large head. Aroma is yeasty roast, cola and a touch of Irish cream. Taste has cola throughout with some blackcurrant and roast on the finish.

440ml can @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, May '19. Pours black, creamy beige head. Coffee and soft lactose on the nose. Taste is smooth, silky, with soft lactose and a big coffee presence that joins with some light bitter chocolate.. very nice this, and despite not getting much Jamesons whiskey notes it comes together well overall.

26th May 2019, Shrewsbury Beer Exchange Group meeting in Chez Sophie. Five of us bringing beers and joy to each other; cheers Paolo for this offering. 440ml can; BBE Mar 2020. Pleasant coffee and chocolate flavoured Stout, almost black bodied with a tanned top. Not sweet or too dry, didn't find any Jameson's influence, the coffee overpowering it maybe? Anyway I really enjoyed by fifth of the can.
