750ml bottle. Cloudy, amber colour with average, frothy to creamy, half-way to moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Caramel malty, minimally herbal-funky aroma, BA notes of Genever, brandy. Taste is minimally dry, sweet-ish caramel malty and minimally herbal, BA notes of Genever, brandy. Integrated and harmonious, balanced, a bit boring, though.

Shrewsbury Month Beer Exchange, Chez Sophie; 29th April 2019. Just the four of us this month, so mostly smaller offerings to share. This however was a 75cl bottle (BB Sep 2019), cheers Mat for sharing this. Poured a misty, dark amber, thin white head on top. Light honey aroma and taste with a mini sourness in the background, some mild Brandy booziness arrives late on. Interesting and different, liked it.

75cl bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie April '19. Pours rusty amber, frothy off white topping. Aroma is light brett, brandy, juniper. Calm soft brett to taste nestled alongside some gentle brandy, juniper & mild honey notes, beautifully well rounded. Interesting to try this historic beer style.

Bottle. Golden pour. Aroma of sweet yeast, malt, orange candy and apple. Taste has malt, yeast, subtle brett tart, orange and wheat. Bit weird, but allright.

Bottle. Color: Slightly hazy orange brown, off-white head. Aroma: Fruity, herbal, juniperberries. Taste: Medium medium sweet, Brett funk, barnyard, juniperberries and subtle notes of stone fruit and caramel. Moderate bitter. Bittersweet and bit boozy (Brandy) finish with clear notes of the juniperberries and conifer. Very nice complexity, great balance. Very good beer.
