You’ll find three Lancastrian trail-blazers in this can. Atkinsons, supplying small-batch artisan roasted single origin coffee. Brades Farm, whose Jersey Holstein Hero produce barista milk, supplying us with rather the lactose. And finally us, bringing it all together into a silky smooth Stout.

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 19th June 2024. Virtual impenetrably black with almost no foam or lace. Pungent aroma with sour fruits and lactic notes. Sweet coffee and just-past-the-date milk in-mouth, and a finish of roastiness with mild coffee notes. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.

Can. Nose is dominating filter coffee, earth. Taste is lactose and coffee and earth with a slight lactose sweetness Beer is drowned out by the coffee

Black beer, thick head which quickly fizzes away. Smells of dry coffee. Flavour has the coffee again, just a little sweet lactose. A little malt. It's not bad and packs a decent punch for the strength, and I'd say it definitely improved as it starts to lose a bit of its fizz and feels like it has a bit more body.

Black with lasting creamy head. Clearly lots of sweetness like a heavily sweetened milky coffee. Nice texture and certainly very flavoursome.

Deep, dark brown, near black, with a frothy tan head and a sweet, mild coffee aroma with a hint of vanilla. Light to medium bodied, it's sweet and satisfying with mild roasted malts and a slight coffee bitterness. [Shrewsbury CAMRA Beer Festival 2022]

Thin dissapaiting tan head left a spotty cover on a dark brown body. Coffee aroma. Medium bodied, smooth with a clean back. Malt, coffee, lactose, demerara & sweet berry tastes with a tangy finish. The nose is harsher than the taste. Decent.
