Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is dark malt with caramel, dark bread, dark fruity notes, banana, clove, touch of roast, liquorice and mild chocolate. Flavour is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Body is medium. I had hoped for something a little more refined, this is fairly thin and not entirely convincing.

Bottle. Deep amber body under a thin beige head. Aroma has malt, chocolate and alcohol. Taste is sweet malt, coconut, caramel and some alcohol. Fine body with same aftertaste. Decent, but not very exciting, not able to detect any banana.

Keg at Pigs Ear 2017 - Hackney. Pours deep brown, unclear, with a creamy, tan head. The nose holds rich bread, bruised bananas, light chocolate. Medium sweet flavour with sugary fruits, banana, berries, faint chocolate, low bitterness. Medium bodied, oily, with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, lightly warming. Fun if a little silly.

Almost black with a creamy, beige head. Floaters. Banana/fudge aroma with a dose of nail polish. Taste is sweet with some rum-like booziness on the backside. Full bodied, mild carbonation, mild warmth. Okay but there are many better things to drink at this ABV.

Keg at the Pig's ear beer festival 05/12/2017. A clear nut nut brown colooured pour with a halo of white head. Aroma is sweet, brown sugars, banana, sweaty ripe banana, some hot alcohol. Flavour is composed of toffee, banoffee, brown sugars, some cinnamon, banana split. Light wood in the finish. Palates is medium sweet, moderate carbonation. Good

Bottle from August '17 @ home. Dark brown color, not entirely black. Light brown head with not much retention. Aroma's: fruity alcoholic, light sweet. Retronasal: dark malts, drop/umami. Flavor is umami, salty almost, light sweet, droppig. Warming alcohol, quite sharp. Medium bodied. There's a touch of banana and chocolate in the finish, but it's mostly light roasted and light bitter. Bit weird. Not bad, but I didn't really like it
