On tap (BIB) at Hops, Crewe. Pours golden orange with no head. There’s ripe apples in the aroma, plus a hint of tomato. In the mouth it is fairly sweet to start off with a creamy texture, but some tannic sharpness soon becomes evident. Apple juice is the main flavour with just a hint of chewy pineapple leading to a slightly try finish. This is decent – nice and understated.

Box @ Bridge End Inn, Ruabon. Pours clear gold, good medium sweet apple fruit on the nose. Taste is crisp with great fleshy apple fruit clarity, moderately acidic, high juice content, soft tannin. Very good.
