500ml bottle from Orchards Explorer Club. Golden colour, white head that quickly dissipates away and aroma of pear, fruity, caramel, butterscotch. Taste is sweetish, caramel, dessert pear, fleshy, mellow, syrupy with alittle citric acidity. Medium bodied, light carbonation, medium syrupy pear finish. Nicely drinkable

500ml bottle from Hop Pocket, Herefordshire. Pours clear gold, quite a strong wild aroma, some butterscotch, silage. Taste presents a strong initial acidic bite which dries out fairly swiftly, interesting perry pear fruit once the initial sharp wild hit subsides, some prickly nettley elements. Interesting perry.

Bottle from the brewer’s own stall at the Thame Food Festival. Slightly murky gold. Pearskins up front, then surprisingly some scrumpy-like tannic bite in th middle. Very refreshing by the end with light floral hints. A decent perry this.
