Brewed with dark candi sugar in classic Belgian style, Seeing Dubbel is fermented on fresh plums and aged with Madagascan vanilla, adding complexity to an already beguiling brew. Rich caramel and burnt sugar blend seamlessly with notes of fresh plum and a teasing hint of vanilla.

On tap at Tipsy Toad Pub. Brown with a lasting off-white head. Heavy aroma of toffee and sweet caramel along with hints of spice and licorice. Sweet malty flavour with perhaps a touch of diacetyl blending in with the caramel

Clear deep amber brown colour, tall frothy tan head, good retention. Aroma toasted malt, marshmallows, caramel, butter scotch, vanilla. Taste light heavy to medium sweet and slightly bitter, malty, caramel, maple sugar, vanilla, light chocolate. Malty sweetbitter aftertaste, burnt caramel, chocolate notes. Medium body, oily to watery texture, soft carbonation, very good.

Keg @ The Wolf, Birmingham. Pours a deep hazed brown, small off-white head. Aroma brings sweet candi sugar, caramel, nutty dark malts. Hopes were not high for the taste, due to so many poor UK efforts at Belgian dubbel but this was spot on. Super sweet hit at the start, big caramel, lots of candi sugar, good plum integration, vanilla hints bringing a little more complexity. Very good big-hitting dubbel.

Keg @ Vocation & Co, Hebden Bridge. Black with an off-white creamy-bubbly head. Plum and vanilla are in equal measure - equally combining to produce a lightly sweet dark ale. The vanilla becomes more dominant as the brew warms up.
