Bottle from Beers of Europe. My first Chilli Beer. Was a gusher but ended up on the laminate floor thankfully rather than the carpet. What was left was muddy brown in colour, no head, looks disgusting. Aroma has a vegetal chilli note, some sweet malt. Not inviting. Taste of green chillies, quite strong although not unbearable, some herbs and mixed veg, semi-sweet malts, light tang. I like the level of heat from the chillies but that's it. As a beer I couldn't finish it.

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG - I think, 23/01/21. Clear copper pour with a fast collapsing white head. Nose is tangy fruits, green peppery spice, hint of glue, green peppers. Taste comprises dusty fruits, modest chilli bite - kind of expected a big blast, grains, stewed fruits. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so affair - ok for what it is, a little chilli throat tickle in the aftermath but not one that causes any kind of concern.

17/1/2021. Bottle sample courtesy of SHIG, cheers. Pours clear dark gold with a small bubbly off-whit head. Aroma of sweet chilli, grass, fruit, dill. Moderate sweetness, light bitterness and tartness. Light to moderate body, slightly watery texture, above average carbonation. Green pepper finish. Ok.

Bottle: Poured a unclear golden with carbonated legs, head is bubbly white. Aroma is sweet peppery, spices. Taste is bitter, green peppery, spices, leaves way to grain and cardboard.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - amber and fairly clear with ferocious bubbles and a quickly disappearing head. Nose - caramel with gentle chilli smoke. Taste - chilli smoke and light chilli spice up front. Then soft caramel follows it in. Palate - close to medium bodied. The smoke and gentle heat does dry the finish out quite nicely. OVerall - better than the last chilli beer I had from these guys.

Bottle bought at Eastbourne Beer Festival, October 2017. Drunk about 3 months out of date. Thankfully, it is not that spciy. Interesting yeasty, sour smell. Murky brown colour. Not a huge amuont of taste, more about the palate which is a mix of sweet and spicy. Not great but hey did not have high hopes! As with all chilli beers though, it gets old kinda quick...500ml bottle is a challenge

500ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Jan 19. Thanks Jeremy for bringing this. Clear gold, small bubbly ring which recedes with no lacing. Aroma greets you with green pepper / green japapeno from a dirty kebab shop, pickled green chilis. Taste continues along these lines. Assumed it would be fiery, but it’s not. Can't see myself willingly revisiting this.

Cask gravity at the st Albans veer festival 2015. Hazed orange golden coloured pour with a thin halo of white head. Aroma is punch veg, spicy chilli pepper, stewed veg and tangy apple. Flavour is composed of veg pepper, warming chillies at the back of the throat, tangy apple, grainy . palate is medium light, warming, moderate carbonation, spicy finish. Low boost gold with chilli. Pretty terrible. Way too much veg character.
Bottle. Huge chili nose, overly sweet, spice comes in and clings to the throat.
