On tap at Skaal, pours black with a reddish tinge and a small tan head. Aroma brings out roasted malt, earthy hops, and a little pine. Flavour is along the same lines, with toasted malt, earthy hops, and some sharp bitterness. The balance is not bad, but it's a bit harshly bitter. Decent.

On tap at SKAAL, Copenhagen. Very dark mahogany coloured, close to black, with a modest, beige head. Toasty and hoppy as expected, pine, citrus and notes of coffee and dark chocolate. Moderate sweet with nice balance between hoppy and roasty flavours and a pleasant bitterness. Quite enjoyable.

Pours dark brown, almost black with a fluffy beige head - that is dense and does not disappear. Nose is dry and roasty, blackberries and some nice light milk chocolate sweetness, some coffee thrown in. Tastes very roasty, roast bitterness blends with hops, so its difficult to say where one ends and another starts. Some malt sweetness is well covered, hints of chocolate, blackberries and some coffee. Drinks easy despite the complexity.
