Danke an minutemat. Stark herber Antrunk, mild holzig, minimal kräutrig. Wenig aromatisch, mittellanger Abgang, das Bier dümpelt so vor sich hin. Unspannend. 9/9/8/8/7/8

500ml bottle: BB 25th Oct 19. Drank at home on 23rd May 19. Nice looking beer, brown with a red hue (almost chestnut), off-white crown. Christmassy aroma and taste with a spicy twist. Fairly sweet with malty molasses ruling the flavours along with the spiciness.

Cask-conditioned at the Pelican, Gloucester, 5/1/2019. Deep amber in colour, with a thin, off-white, head. A malty beer, with caramel, some red berries and leafy hops, before a gentle finish. Ok.

Cask at the Red House, Stourbridge. Pours very dark orange brown with a medium head. Aroma is bready, slightly acrid. Taste is bready throughout with some coffee.

500ml bottle from Appleyards. Thanks Mike. Pours a deep chestnut, frothy off white head. Aroma has toffee and light leafy spice. Taste is light with a pleasant toffee character, caramelised malt, soft bitterness, leafy woody dusting, drying close. A bit more strength would be nice but its a decent
