Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Nearly black. No head. Nose has chocolate cake. Some black cherry. Lots of vine fruit. Touch of coffee from the roast malts. Some plum and date. Taste is tangy and light, roasty bitter. Medium body. A little too fizzy for style. Vinous finish. Ok. Expected more from this brewer.

Tap @ IMBC '17. Pours black with a thin pale tan ring. Chocolatey malt aroma. Smooth on the palate, not overly rich or full-bodied, but with a good balanced stout character, roast turned down with choc turned up, black forest cherry influence is subtle but there and perhaps more noticeable if warmed a little. Decent introduction to this brewery.
