21/9/18: Very nice black barleywine. Thick, bittersweet, boozy and resiny. Compared to the 3 BA editions, and didn't fall short, just a bit less complex but still as flavorful.
25/8/19: Tasted with a nose clamp this time. Before: clearly a barleywine, bitter, sweet and dense. After: maltyness appears, some nice hop bitterness, more balance. Hint of licorice, pretty boozy. Still holds up well, still a barleywine.

Sampled from tap at Van Moll Fest 2018. Hazy, dark brownish amber with a beige head. Sweetish-malty aroma of caramel, molasses and some sultanas. Quite sweet, malty, slightly fruity taste of caramel, molasses, orange and apricot, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, fairly warming finish. Full body, creamy to oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

Sampled @ Van Moll Fest 2018. Autumnal red-brown color, medium sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, booze, sweet, caramel. Nothing too special, solid barley wine-ish (in De Molen style) beer. 7-4-8-4-15.
