Min forskerekspedisjon har nå brakt meg til Torggata, og da går man ikke uten videre forbi Crowbar: nesten helt svart med fint skum. Bjørnebær, mørke chokolader, urter og furunål. Solide saker.

On tap at the brewpub. It's an unclear, brown beer with a small, dense, light beige head. Some lacing. The aroma is roasted and lightly meaty, with bread crust, toast and some coffee and dark caramel chocolate. It's full to medium bodied, smooth and dryish on the palate, nicely carbonated, with a flavor profile depending on the dark malts. Toast, roasted malts, hints of coffee and dark chocolate, some toffee and hazelnut, and a lactose note. Some hoppy bitterness too. Lasting finish. A fine specimen indeed, but in a strange way it feels a bit dull. Guess a full glass early in the evening would've been a better way to sample this beer. 190608

Really classic example. I wouldn’t have guessed the abv by the taste. It’s dry for the stylr and drinkable. Nice oatty balance. Crow Oslo

Keg @ Crowbar, Oslo. Pours dark, thin tan head. Chocolate coming through on the nose. Taste delivers the chocolate again, lovely and smooth with roasty hints. Sweet dark malts. Nice.

Fra kran på bryggeripuben 10 Des 15. Svart. Lavt mokkafarget skum som raskt blir til film. Teppelacing. Veldig forsiktig kaffearoma. Smaken er tørr kaffe med innslag av frukt om en legger godviljen til. Blir veldig tørr etter hvert.
