330ml bottle (1 of only 900 produced) at the Dec 2016 Shrewsbury Beer Exchange meeting in Chez Sophie, thanks to Mike for this new Welsh brew. Misty amber, wispy white head. Aroma had a cobweb like old smell to the malts, no hop esters either. The taste was grainy and semi-sweet, leading to a dry finish. Certainly not a Barley Wine, in my eyes anyway. Lacked depth and strength of flavour. I have no idea what an Umbarana Cask is, but I could find no unusual aromas or flavours in this experimental brew. I actually quite liked it, but I am not sure if the brew came out as the brewer expected?

330ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, thanks to Mike. Pours hazy amber, thin ring of white head. Aroma is musty grainy malts. Taste is grainy, drying.. but neither here nor there. Not a barley wine. Lacking strength. Some caramel sweetness, but lacks a bit of life.
