- 1 point for the unnecessary wax. No head whatsoever; pours oily to brown-black beer with reddish reflections. Coffee, chocolate, molasses, bit meaty, chocolate-covered nuts, caramel. Chocolate, bit ashes, fondant, coffee, quite sweet. Fusels. There is some roast, but covered by the cigarette ashes. Syrupy, sticky, chewy. Alcoholheat, almost uncarbonated. Still classic Menno. Txs to Stef!

Butelka 33cl (BB 17.12.2043). Kawa, czekolada, subtelny kwasek na finiszu, średnie ciało, ok ale jak ma leżaka troszkę słabo.

Pours black with the barest of dark tan heads.Nose shows molasses, coconut, oak, heavy roast, faint Vegemite.Flavours include more heavy roast, toast-like notes, biscuity and nutty malt, toasted oak, and a bit of booze.

Bottled 17-12-18. Very dark reddish brown, fine tan head. Smells pretty malty, some roast, sweetness. Nice body, creamy and pretty thick. Taste is quite nice, some soft roast, a hint of smokyness, lots of dark chocolate. Light vinousness. Very nice.

Last bottle out of an RB Trade with Mallorn, aged for the last two years in the cellar. All these lockdowns does have a way of forcing me to empty out things down there. Virtually black. A creamy, dirty, light brown head lingers the duration. Aroma is earthy, accompanied by chocolate and whiskey. Taste is bittersweet with a mild tartness. There’s an almost wine-like character underneath, as if some time had been spent in sherry barrels. Full-bodied, mild carbonation. Pleasant sipping.

Malty, sweet and boozy, some coffee, a bit winey even. Not bad.

12/18 botle. Black with a tan head that fades from a cm. Aroma of blackberries and other stewed berries, cream, roast, mocha, smoke, oak, bracken. Unctuous. Bittersweet taste with less fruit and more roast than the aroma suggested. Is there a Guinness-esque hint of sour old beer lurking? That very De Molen thing of a rumbling boom of (erm) warmth coming through halfway. The finish lifts everything except bracken and a little bitterness away. Not _great_ by their standards, but very good.
