The Skimmer is an easy drinking sessionable Pale Ale, with a balanced, refreshing hoppy finish. The use of Hersbruker and Cascade hops make for a beer which bridges the gap between ale and lager. Much like the straw Boater, it’s perfect for a long day on the river. Brewed with: Magnum, Hersbruker, Cascade and Chinook

Can at home, 01/09/16. Golden orange with a moderate off White head. Nose is pale malts, bread dough, orange peel, light hop flicker, straw. Taste comprises orange peel, bready malts, straw, toasted grains. Medium body, fine carbonation, semi drying close dashed with light hop bitterness. You can put a golde in a can to look ’craft’ but it’s still a golde! Ok for style.

330ml tin at home on 16th April 2016. Bought from Appleyards Delicatessen in Shrewsbury and poured into a Hoegaarden Grand Cru badged stemmed tulip glass because I can! Clear, clean and golden body, snow white foaming head on top. Hops rule the nose and initial flavour, the hidden malts asserting themselves mid-sip: and as the beer warms into the aroma. Hop centric and semi-bitter with a good malt undertone. Liked it.

330ml can. Pours clear gold, thin frothy white head. Aroma is pleasant light creamy mango and citrus. Taste is light with very faint citrus, a teasing distant bitterness and finishes clean and dry. Harmless thirstquencher to be drunk cold by the pint on a sunny Summers afternoon.
