This beer started out life as a house beer for the Tavern at Alltami. Head brewer Phill worked with the owners to create a crisp, refreshing pale ale to compliment the menu.
After being urged by the local CAMRA team, we decided that the beer was too good to just be available in one place. Renamed Sunrise, it quickly became our best-selling pale ale due to its clean flavours and very drinkable 3.8% abv.

Bottle from Wales Ales. Clear gold with thin white top. Some orange citrus being a touch on the marmalade side, melon, light malts. Taste wise its quite sweet with orange peel, bread crust, somewhat leafy with moderate bitterness in the finish. Light to medium bodied, semi-dry, low carbonation. Its OK if a bit dull, more light drizzle than a nice sunrise.

Bottle from Vinomondo, Conwy. The tart citrus hops don't adequately mask the underlying malts and veg. Slightly opaque orange. Foamy white head. Medium bitter. Resin. Spice. Juicy citrus streak. The latter takes pole position. Underlying malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Erm... unexciting stuff. Workmanlike.

500ml bottle as part of the brewery, drunk at home. Mid-golen and clear with a ring of white head. Light notes of hay and marmalade in the aroma. Nicely balanced taste, some bitterness in the finish with a little bit of orange peel. Medium carbonation. Not all that much here when all is said and done, but it is a pleasant and well-put-together golden beer.
