Pint at the treaty of commerce. Lincoln. Deep dark ruby colour with an off white head. Almost a Christmas beer, with the fruit and spice aroma. Taste mid sweet with a fruity finish

Bottle. Brownish bronze beer with a reasonable head. The aroma is roasted with a hint of a vinous quality. The flavour is very bitter with lots of roastedness and some fortified spirit maltiness. Overall a nice well roasted and bitter beer.

330ml bottle @ Shrewsbury Bottle Share, Sep 15, courtesy of Jeremy Haddock. Pours deep amber with receding foam head. Encouraging malty aroma. Taste presents a complex malt profile with earnest dark fruits, but the end result falls a little flat.

16th Sep 2015 Shrewsbury Bottle Exchange Group tasting: one of my offerings. Clean dark amber body with a thin wisp on top. Malty, fruity and semi-sweet, reminded me of Batemans Rosie Nosey. Lacked body depth, which disappointed me somewhat. Decent enough but a pity about the low ABV strength of a special brew which in turn led to the thin feel to the beer.

Clear deep red- amber beer, thin pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, modest fine carbonation. Tangy malts, a mild and thin cream, not that sweet. Marmite. Trace of marmalade. Fairly bitter finish. It’s a clean beer but the flavour profile does nothing for me.
