Sparkling with a fresh effervescence and a defined floral aroma, a twist of short bread malt is encompassed by a palate of tropical fruit and a fruity finish.

(Cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London, 21 May 2023) Golden colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, peaches and hay. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus, grapefruit, resin, peaches, herbs and a generous citric/herbal bitterness. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and refreshing. Nice one.

Clear straw/gold with a frothy white head and a soft floral, peachy aroma. Light and easy drinking with floral hops, a tart bitterness running through it and a dry finish

Handpull cask at Hudson’s Ale House, Cambridge. Light golden, nearly straw. A small loose off-white head sits on top. Sharp pink grapefruit aroma, with notes of lemon juice and hay. Bitter taste with more fresh grapefruit juice. A touch of soap. Long bitter finish with the bitterness resting on the back of the tongue long after the sip. More soapy notes in the aftertaste but it doesn’t spoil the beer. It’s well-made, and I enjoy it despite myself.

Cask @ The Three Fishes, Shrewsbury. Clear gold with good white head. Light, fruity character with soothing citrus and hints of tropical fruit. Another good ’un from Salopian.
