Pint of cask at the Saracen's in Hertford. I watched this being put on so I knew that it was as fresh as a daisy. A good looking pint of beer in the glass, but quite a shocking flavour when compared to the colour. It took me a few sips to get into it (possibly because of the Fubar before) but I really enjoyed the intense bitter hops that were well balanced against plenty of malt. This was a rich beer and not particularly sessionable despite the low abv, but it was good.

Clear amber beer with a bubbly white head. Aroma is light, sweet grapefruit. Flavour is very grapefruity too. Quite a dry bitter finish. Very nice.

Cask @ The Three Fishes, Shrewsbury. Pours clear gold with lovely white head. Aroma is citrus fruits. Taste is lightly floral with citrus and a a soft maltiness. Quaffable but not my fave from Oakham.

Cask at the beer emporium Sandbach . Clear golden / light orange coloured pour with a lasting white frothy head. Aroma is grainy, light pithy cirrus, lemon rind, hedgerow berry. Flavour is grainy cereal hay, light hay, bitter grassy citrus hop, lemon. Assertive grassy hop bitterness. Palate is light grainy, perfect cask condition. Another amazing hoppy cask beer from Oakham.
