Bottle. Slightly unclear dark golden body with a small, lacing tan head. Mild aroma, malt and caramel. Flavor is medium sweet mild malt, not much roasted, hint of caramel and some vanilla in the aftertaste. Medium body and short aftertaste. Not much of a porter, a rather indeterminable beer in my book

Handpull cask at the Salmon, Leicester. Boy this is thin-looking. Brown and translucent like flat Coke with a small ring of white head. Getting some vanilla, roast malt, caramel. Tastes fine, sweet with mote malty notes obscuring the vanilla. Slight watery body with soft to medium carbonation. Hard to like.
