Half pint @ The Salopian. 13%. Pours clear gold. Like standard Red Eye the taste belies its strength, which is probably why it’s so infamous round these parts. This Vintage blend has more of a woody character with a sharp fruitiness and slight scrumpy tang.

Polycask at The Salopian Bar, Shrewsbury, Salop, 27.08.11 Pours golden with a little haziness, thrusty and tangy with plenty of appleyness. I’m amazed that this is 10%, it is also quite dry. Overall not too bad but felt that it lacks a bit of oompth and the depth of flavour just doesn’t seem to be there for me. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0
