Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours a solid gold with a small off-white head and good lacing. The aroma is mainly hops with a distinct bitterness. In the mouth it is initially on the cusp between sweet and bitter, but ths latter gradually increases to dominate. It has quite a light texture with floral hops and grains/ The finish is distinctly dry and bitter with significant stickiness. This is reasonable but not particularly outstanding.

Cask half @ The Sun Inn, Clun. Found it a touch sweeter than last time, very drinkable, wish I'd got a pint. July 27th - 2014 - Pint @ The Bridges, Ratlinghope following a 6 mile walk through the beautiful Shropshire Hills. Fruity aroma, strong spicy taste with bitter grapefruit, sprightly citrus and a fresh vibrant taste that belies its meagre 3.6% strength.

Cask, gravity from main bar at Shrewsbury Folk Festival Friday 22 August 2013 Pours gold, this is fruity I was convinced that this has rhubarb, however I am told that it has elderflower. Little sweet but I like it. This has a fairly decent bitterness. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

12th september 2012:two hand-pulled pint in The Cock Hotel, Wellington Shropshire. Pale brown, light amber body with a thinning head of off-white bubbles. More malts than hops in the aroma and taste, but lacks flavour and strength throughout, had two pints because I was on a session and the beer was OK for a 3.6%ABV starter for the evening. Doubt I’ll be ever having a third pint though. A Mr Average: which is a shame, because I like this breweries beers a more than this normally.

Was driving: so could only have half a pint: hand pulled at the excellent brewery owned ’Horseshoes’ at Bridges (Ratlinghope) in Shropshire on 28th July 2012. Bright, light golden body with a tight, thin head of white bubbles on top, a bit of lacing appeared as I slowly sipped the half. The nose and taste were floral and hoppy, not normally my thing, but I enjoyed this beer. 3.6% ABV isn’t my thing either, but it tasted a lot stronger than that and although I’d have prefered more malt flavours this was fine. Citrus and woody notes as the beer warmed in the glass, pleasant and easy to drink.
