15/12/2020. Bottle sample courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed! Pours hazy deep amber copper with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is bittersweet apple, caramel, brown sugar, touch woody and funky. Light sweetness and medium bitterness with a tart edge. Meduim body, oily texture, fine carbonation. Dry, crisp and bitter to finish. Nice, enjoyed this.

330ml bottle from Pips Cider. Orangey golden-amber colour, afew short-lived bubbles on top and aroma of barnyard funk, orchardy apple. Taste is tangy, fruity apple, orchardy, woody, earthy and funky with drying tannins. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.

330ml bottle from Llandrindod Wells Beer & Food Festival May 2014. Wrote in my notes this looked like Irn Bru before noticing Fin below had written it! Like the others this is lightly sparkling with a slight fruitiness and more assertive tannins behind its dry character. Well-blended and enjoyable.

Bottle from Oakchurch, Staunton on Wye, Herefordshire consumed at home Thursday 8th July 2012 Like the other two ciders from Pips this pours the colour of Irn Bru® real rusty orange. The carbonation didn’t seem quite as pronounced as the sweet, but it was nice, dry and a little furry. Another good blended cider nice bittersweet balance with the dryness coming through gradually and then building. I like the appleyness, think there is a little nutty Egremont Russet, its good. Bottle from the Bristol Cider Shop. Deep amber in colour with plenty of fizz. Light, sweetish apple juice aroma with a green herb edge. Plenty of honeyed apple fruit flavours with a medium dry finish with plenty of after taste. Not particularly dry, but pleasant drinking.
