Cask. Ruby red appearance, with a small tan head. Malty aroma with dark f fruits. Taste is malt-forward, raisin hints, biscuity, smooth and bitter. Short finish.

Gravity cask at Bedford Beer Festival. Amber/copper (not ruby), very clear. Light natural carbonation. Scent of crystal malt, forest fruit, jasmine, chestnut. Taste is fairly bitter with slight sweet nutty edges. Clean bitter aftertaste. Light mouthfeel. Good.

JDW Waterhouse, MAnchester 27 Jan 13. Gyldenbrun. Nesten ikke skum. Litt lacing. Litt parfymert fruktig aroma. Smaken er tung fruktig. Overmoden fersken. Ettersmak av tørket frukt.

Pint at The Shrewsbury Hotel, Shrewsbury, recommended by the bargirl. Pours ruby red. Has a faint sweetness to the malts that brings out the bitterness. Not bad at all.

Half pint shared with Finn, cask at JDW Waterhouse. Clear amber coloured body. Filmy layer, fragile lace. Smell of caramel malts and leafy hops. Malty-fruity taste with a marmalade impression leading to a nice bittersweet finish. Fits the bitter style very well (Manchester, 27.01.2013).
