440ml can. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is malt, grainy, light cranberry. The flavour is light sour, with a light, crisp, yeasty, light tart cranberry fruit palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Keg at Mad Squirrel, Wycombe. Deep amber with a white head and a light fizz. Red berries with a light sourness set against a toffee background. Grew on me after an uncertain start. Ok.

30/1/2019. Can at Hopsters, Ipswich. Pours pale red/brown with a bubbly off-white head. Aroma of malt, citrus orange, cranberry, hops and a hint of chocolate. Moderate sweetness, medium citrus bitterness and light tartness. Medium body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. Certainly has altbier elements. Not bad.

Keg at Mad Squirrel bar/shop, Amersham, Bucks. A hazy amber coloured pour with a small white head on top. Sour, yeasty, berry fruit aroma and taste. Quite unpleasant.

[On tap at the Mad Squirrel, Chesham] A hazy amber pour with a ring of white head; aroma of sour grains and cranberry; distinct cranberry and orange taste, quite sharp with an underlying malty sweetness; then just enough caramel int he finish to justify calling this an Altbier.

Keg at MS HW, 30/11/18. Hazed golden amber with a decent off white cap that dissipates to a swirl and edgework. Nose is red berry fruits, grains, bready notes, light spice, biscuit, toffee. Taste comprises dried fruits, caramel, biscuit malt, brown bread, bitter sweet red berry skins, oats, light sugar dusting. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok.

Keg at the mad Squirrel Berko. A hazed dull autumnal amber coloured pour with a fading beige head. Aroma is nice layered malts, honey cereal, fruity red berries, strawberry jam. Flavour is composed of rustic grains, husk, tart woodland berries, light honey, bitter cranberry, hint of Christmas spices in the finish. Palate is semi sweet, light tartness, crisp finish, moderate fine carbonation.
