Pale Copper colour. Worcs Goldings & Fuggles Hops. Traditional English Ale with a hoppy finish. Old School Bitter was the fi rst beer we brewed back in 2008. It was very well received by everyone who tasted it. So much so we are still brewing it today for your drinking pleasure.

Floral, minimally leafy and minimally fruity, hoppy as well as minimally toasty, malty aroma, hints of petals, whiffs of orchard fruit. Taste is minimally toasty malty, mildly bitter, slightly floral and minimally fruity hoppy, hints of petals, orchard fruit, a touch of peach, peach ice tea. Watery texture, minimally dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Light and drinkable, a bit cautious - OK.

Bottle, also direct from the brewery. Pours clear dark gold, minor head, some circular retention. Aroma of lightly toasted malt, caramel, some fruity hops. Taste is sweet biscuit malts, a sharp citrus lemon, stewed starchy veg, a moderate bitterness and citrus in the finish. Moderate body and softish carbonation works well here. This is a good session bitter, enjoyable.

Bottle on the Severn Valley Railway. Poured a clear golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is malt, mineral, light citrus, light floral hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a malt, earthy, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Not what I would call an old school bitter. It’s blonde and highly carbonated for starters.
