Süffiger, rauchig herber Beginn. Spritzig, die Rauchigkeit steigt an. Malzig, weich, etwas hefig, zunehmend trocken. Holzig, kaum herb, eher geringe Würzigkeit. Minimal alkoholisch. Gut. 10/11/12/11/8/12

500ml bottle. Clear, chestnut colour with ruby glimmer and small to average, thick, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Smoky, slightly woody, ashy and minimally chocolately malty aroma, notes of ham, smoked eel, cold ashes, bacon-wrapped plum (Pflaumen im Speckmantel). Taste is smoky and slightly peaty, caramel malty, minimally woody and ashy, mellow maltiness, dry smokiness, a weak touch of TCP, bitter hoppy counterweight; minimally chocolately finish.

Draft at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark plum with limited whitish foam, very fine. Aroma is a nice combination of and and toasted malt. Body is fairly dense with moderate tickling carbonation. Taste is moderately sweet like burned candy. Finish is average.

0.5 l bottle from 'Beergium', best before October 2018. A bit hazy, very dark ruby with a thin, frothy, almost stable, light beige head. Sweetish-malty, quite smoky aroma of caramel, smoked eel, bacon and traces of raisins. Quite sweet, malty, rather smoky taste of caramel, smoked eel, some toasted nuts, hints of raisins and ecen a touch of chocolate, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, fairly smoky and a bit dry finish. Medium to full body, slightly oily and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite heavy, not overly quaffable, lots of smoke but not as refined as Schlenkerla. Still pretty good though.

Tap (Szynkarnia, Wrocław). Intensywna szynkowo-dymiona wędzonka. Ciało słodowe, piwo pełne w odczuciu z nutami wędzonymi, melonaidynowymi, lekkie w odczuciu. Świetny, wędzony koźlak.
