Slim 25cl can pours a watery dark brown with a ton of foamy brown head. Infected. Clearly. Nose is very Piney, toasted malt and bread, soap. Dried herbs. Flavors follow. Very high carbm. Harsh finish. OK black IPA. Not a great stout. Carb is just too much. 7 3 7 2 13

[ As Azimut Stout Avoine Sorachi ].
ABV: 5.2%. Clear dark dark brown colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, dark malt, sweet malt, oat, chocolate - coffee, moderate hoppy, perfume, herbs, lemon, dill, moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a long duration, roasted, chocolate - coffee, yeast - minty - minerals, oat, medium dry, light herbs - dill - lemongrass. To me quit odd ! Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20201214]

Bottle from Carrefour, Ninove - many thanks dear Anke! Pours cloudy black with slowly dissipating, frothy, dark beige head. Aroma of orange zest, roasted coconut, pistachio, toast, fondant, prune. Taste is light malty sweet, restrained nuts & dark fruits; pretty bitter core of orange peel, mixing with roasted nuts, toast & espresso. An umami edge announces the dry, earthy, almost resinous hoppy finish, lingering orange zest, biscuit, subtle (roasted) coconut & toast. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Feels very ‘dark’ & Stout-like but I would be inclined to classify this as a Black IPA.

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with average to huge, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Roasty dark malty and herbal, grassy, hoppy aroma, notes of dark chocolate, fresh hay, weed, a touch of coconut. Bottled, from Hopt. Near black, huge lively head. Rich aroma of tobacco and lemon yoghurt. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded, spritzy mouthfeel. Dill and lemon yoghurt, some chocolate. Light resinous bitter finish. Excessive carbonation distracts.

Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk at home. Black dark brown beer lasting tan head. Aroma a bit like black ipa. Bit of pineapple and coconut on the aroma. Some chocolate. Weird stout. Yes a little dark chocolate yes a little charcoal. You could say its a waste of sorachi hops too fizzy. Not so keen on aroma. Hops are good but not sure it works in a stout

Bottle at home, 1st May 17. Pours black, aroma is citrus infused chocolate. Taste is complex, cocoa, the sorachi come through well, lightens the palate, musky, lemon, aromatic. Good stout.
