Tap at Embargo, Phnom Penh. Poured a clear dark brown colour with little life. The aroma is roasty malt, chocolate, light caramel. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a smooth, rich, roasty, chocolate, light lactose palate. Medium bodied with flat carbonation.

Black with a small tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, overripe dark fruits and light coffee. Flavour is above moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Taster at the brewpub. Cloudy, dark red to black colored. AROMA- roasted malts, coffee, oats, touch of alcohol. FLAVOR- neutral to dry, lightly bitter, roasted malts, coffee, oats, chocolate. Medium bodied. Good.

Planke med 6 øl i hagen på Himawari, første dagen i Phnom Penh mars-19: brunsvart med ok skum. Havrekjeks med sjokoladetrekk, kakao, cappuccino og sjokoladepudding. Mørkt øl kan jammen også være godt i 38C, særlig når man har flott utsikt til Mekong-floden!

Aroma is chocolate and ripe banana all the way. Taste is trat bitter cocoa with a bit dried banana backbone. Not so smooth but soothing. Interesting.

On tap at Himawari, pours a deep dark brown with a reddish tinge and a small tan head. Aroma brings out soy sauce, light oats and some toasted malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with heaps of soy sauce. Not a whole lot else to speak of. Oily, soy-like mouthfeel. Not good.

Dunkel malziger, mild herber Antrunk. Deutlich getreidig, dunkel, weich. Nuancen von Hopfen und Espresso, dezent bitter. Vollmundig, langer, trocken malziger Nachhall. 9/10/11/11//11
