DESCRIPTION
Filungar was originally a collaboration with Vault City.
It’s an IPA fermented through with a traditional Norwegian Kviek yeast. This Voss strain ferments hot and kicks out bags of fruity orange and citrus esters.
It’s been liberally hopped with Denali, El Dorado and Citra for good measure.
Goes well with strong winds and stronger ships.
Featuring Johnny, master of mixed ferm at Vault City.

Can. Hazy yellow, white head. Citrusy, yeasty and malty aroma. Dry, bitter citrusy flavour, again a little yeast. Some sweet, crackery malt in the finish.

Can. Hazy yellow golden body under a medium sized off-white head. Aroma has citric fruit, pale malt and some yeast. Taste is smooth and juicy fruity with some malt. Straight forward and refreshing. Medium body and some slightly harsh bitterness in aftertaste.

Blik gedeelt door Keukeman, geprobeerd met Benzai. Het is een troebel licht geel bier met een dun schuim. Het heeft een hoppige wat citrus achtige geur. De smaak is hoppig, citrus achtig en bitter.

Small, slowly retreating white head over hazy golden beer. Nice exotic fruit nose, fruity esters, citrus, chalk, and a whiff of... moss... mushrooms... other...anything? This weird aroma/flavour returning in the taste. Bitter, earthy, citruspeel. Quite dry finish. Bit of asafoetida. Ever so slightly burning MF, enhanced by good carbonation. Hopoilslick, bit viscous. Pretty good!

Fra fat på Apollon Platebar sammen med skibsrederen og skogsmatrosen, okt-20: uklar korngylden med fint skum som varer. Tropiske frukter, grapefrukt, saftige gjærtoner, karamell og appelsinmarmelade. Flott munnfølelse og saftig, lett krydret avslutning.

0,44l can from Tuju brewery shop. Canned 01/05/20, BBE 26/01/21. Hazy yellow beer with quite small white head. Aroma has pineapple, orange, citrus and herbs. Flavor has grass, herbal notes, orange. End is bitter with hops and grapefruit. Sweet notes too. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Good.
