Bottle @ RBESG Grand tasting 2009. Blonde. Vegetables and just a hint of old hops in the grainy flavor. Couldn’t trace much of an aroma. Not good.

Pale lager from Belarus, from a 50 cl (glass) bottle. Thick and frothy but large-bubbled and eventually dissolving, snow white head over a cristal clear, pure straw blonde beer with fierce sparkling. Aroma of damp kitchen towels, plaster, soggy bird seed, wet paper, sugarcorn, minerals, rubber. Sweet corny graininess, thin and slick mouthfeel, sharp minerally carbonation; the sweet graininess, with a sourish edge to it, is simply continued over the whole length of the beer, the only additions being a late touch of grassy hop bitterness all the way at the back, and something plastic-like in the finish. Your standard industrial pale lager, crisp, minerally, neutral and simple but 'clean' and quenching so not the worst in its kind - though I probably could have picked something else than an industrial eastern European pale lager for my 6K...

Bottled 500ml. -from random shop in Minsk, Belarus. Clear golden coloured, small airy white head, no bubbles at all, usual green bottle nose. Sweetish watery, bready, notes of corn and grass with touch of cardboard in the finish. Just another lager on the beer sky.
