The St-Feuillien FIVE has a pale blond colour, clear and bright. It has a strong sparkling character with fine bubbles and a white, fine and stable foam. The nose is fresh and hoppy with delicate fruity hints (fermentation esters) empowered by nuances of citrus zests (curacao). The taste starts off sweet and slightly malty. Afterwards, a slight bitterness comes in place but never becomes too dominant. As a whole, the taste is well-balanced. It is round and full-bodied. The post-bitterness is fine, pleasant and long.

The St-Feuillien Five is a light and refreshing blond beer with its capacity as thirst quencher as main quality. Easy to drink, it charms the consumer in a natural way by combining lightness and digestiveness.

Appearance is clear straw-coloured, with a big foamy white head. Aroma- yeasty fruity hops, lemon sherbet, peppery hops and spices, mixed peel. Taste is yeasty malt, hop bitterness, spicy fruit, fluffy malt, juicy fruit hints. Full and fluffy mouthfeel with underlying sweetness and a bit of bitterness.

On tap at Craft Beer Oasis, Crewe. Pours a golden straw with minimal white head, but good lacing. A mixture of lemon and banana in the aroma. Initially it is quite sweetin the mouth, with some banana flavour, but soon becomes more bitter with grains and lemongrass. Some pepper and hoppy notes too. A summer beer, but difficult to quaff. A typical Belgian pale really.

Large rocky white head left a froth on a highly carbonated pale straw coloured body. Yeast, spice, coriander & herbal aroma. Medium bodied, smooth with a lively back & cloying back. Light floral tastes with citrus, herbal, yeast & stone fruit tastes with a peppery finish. Nice one

330ml bottle as part of a delivery from Sophie's Beer Store and drunk at home. Crystal clear, light golden with a small ring of white head. Light aroma with bready yeast, hay, brown sugar. There is a pleasant balance to the taste, with some bitterness seeping in after the initial sweet taste, followed by a drier finish. Watery body, spritzy carbonation. Not a lot to it.

33cl bottle from Sophie's Beer Store; BB 7th Oct 2021. Drank at home on my birthday, 2nd Dec 2020. Light haze to the golden body as I allowed the sediment to leave the bottle at the end of my pour, otherwise it would have been clear. White crown sat on top. Belgian yeast aroma with a grassy hop ester or two. The taste was slightly sweet with a mild yeasty undertone and a herbal twist. My first new Belgian beer for a while, bloody Covid!
