This beer is objectively fantastic. Even for the low abv (no super maxed ingredients needed) it is just so complex and rich. The scotch contribution is just spot on. Even better warmer. Sterk ams

Dark reddish brown, small light brown head. Smells malty, some caramel, bit of whisky. Good body, bit of carb, some boozyness, tad thin though. Flavourwise damn good, fairly sweet, plenty of whisky, wood, bit of caramel, some raisin, hint of vanilla. Soft

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Malt, sugar syrup and a hint of whisky in the aroma. Full bodied. Malty sweet, almost sugary. Low on carbon. Sugar syrup, whisky in the background. Hint if vanilla.

330ml bottle. Opaque, darkest brown colour with small, thick, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Intense malty aroma, BA and cereal malty notes, lots of caramel, dark, if not burnt caramel, Bourbon, toffee, a touch of oak and vanilla, some Brandy, a touch of resin, diffuse coffee interludes; a part of the caramel carries some honey-like sweetness. Taste is sweet-ish, minimally dry, malty, notes of caramel, caramelled cereals, dark and burnt caramel, toffee, Bourbon, a touch of oak, weak vanilla overtones, some honey-like sweetness adds cautious floral and fruity aspects. Oily to viscous texture, soft, sticky if not tacky palate. Very intense, extremely malty, condensed toffee. Quite complex, bonus points for intensity.

0.33 l bottle from 'Ace Drinks', bottled in July 2017. Clear, very dark ruby with hardly any head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of caramel, molasses, raisins, vanilla and quite some whisky. Fairly sweet, malty, slightly fruity taste of caramel, molasses, raisins, prunes, vanilla and whisky, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, warming and just a little boozy finish with the whisky dominating. Medium to full body, oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Intense, rich and heavy, but also extremely well-balanced with the perfect amount of whisky, lovely beer!

Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing! A dark reddish brown beer with a mid-sized most good lasting tan head. Aroma of strong reddish malt, pine needles, red fruits, spruce, wood. Taste of strong riped red fruits, vanilla, caramel, spruce, wood, quite nice!

Bottle. Color: Very dark ruby, almost black. Very thin light brown head. Taste: Over medium sweet dark roasted malt, caramel, combined with subtle notes of the whiskey and notes of dark red fruit. Decent amount of hopbitterness. The sweetness is a bit overwhelming, no harsh tastes. Nice balance. Hints of nuts, vanilla, coffee, brown sugar and booze. Syrupy. Full body, below average carbonation. Very nice, long lasting, bit vinuous finish with pretty dry subtle bittery palate. Very tasty beer!

Intense woody alcoholic nose. The beer starts mild and smooth. Malty grainy, wood. Oily with nice alcoholic vanilla whisky aroma below a dark intense malty sticky body. Nice and round, sticky with woody alcoholic parts, round and deep woody. Nice.

Pours dark, caramelly brown. Small white head fades fast. Scent is mostly the barrel, but quite complex as a whole. taste shows some booze, and still is intensely dominated by the barrel. The well known and expected toffee flavors rise up in the background notes. The mouthfeel is medium thick, and carbonation is medium. pretty solid drinkin' beer, but not much is left from the wee heavy base.
