A classic American wheat beer using fresh watermelon. Straw-colored and refreshing with a kiss of watermelon aroma and flavor.

Carbonatation moyenne-faible, corps faible.

On tap @ the brewery during San Francisco 7/7/14 beer tour. Pours a bit hazy yellow appearance with a white head. Served with a watermelon slice. Light cauliflower / stalky herbal, grassy aroma. Flavor is a bit on the sweet side. Some tartness asking with an artificial fruity flavor. Ehhh.

4 oz draft part of a flight at 21st Amendment’s brewpub. Served with a little slice of watermelon as garnish. Hazy straw yellow with off-white head. Aromas of wheat and light watermelon. Tastes of wheat, some watermelon here and there. Medium-light body with a dry finish.

Can. A- Wheat, yeasty, slight funk. A- Yellow color, slightly hazy liquid, white head. T- Wheat, slight funk, slight bitterness, watermelon. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, astringent finish. O- This was a major let down. The watermelon (and granted watermelon doesn’t pack a lot of flavor itself) was not really there. It was more like the rind. A bitterness and not a good bitter either. This was really a bland wheat beer with a tad bit of funk and a very faint watermelon taste. I almost wish the flavoring would have been artificial so the melon would come through more and taste like more than the bitter rind. At least the can artwork is awesome!

Can thanks to Chow. Pours a hazy yellow gold with small frothy white head. The aroma is strong wheat and watermelon. Thin mouthfeel with crisp wheat and nice watermelon flavor. Refreshing as hell, very good.

I picked up this can of Hell or High Watermelon from 21st Ammendment Brewery at the end of last summer and wanted to wait until the heat returned before having it. So fresh it is not. Served in a weizen glass. A watermelon wheat beer that pours a clear gold with a thick foamy head that leaves spotty white lacing. The nose is wheat and watermelon as promised, very soft fruity goodness. The beer is medium bodied and soft. The taste is wheat, cream and watermelon. Probably passed it’s best but still pretty good.

I loved the way the watermelon added to this beer. Not overpowering sweetness, just some light melon flavor in the background, refreshing yet slightly dry. This is an excellent summer, hot weather beer.

Pours cloudy yellow with a tiny head. Aroma of fruits, wheaty notes, watermelon and citrus. Taste is smooth, watermelony and sweetish with some citrus and wheaty notes too. Finish is smooth and watery with some notes of watermelon. A bit of a strange combination.

From a party: Pours pale yellow with a white head. Aroma is American wheat beer with watermelon. Fortunately, this doesn’t smell like jolly ranchers. Fortunately as well, this isn’t really sweet at all. A moderate amount of melon over mild wheat ale. I thought it would be worse.

The appearance was a hazy yellowed body with what looks like fruit particles floating around and has a one finger frothy-like foamy head that dies within less than thirty seconds. The lacing tries to cling but slides and is pretty sporadic all over the place.
The smell had some wheat and watermelon up front, some pineapple, light lemon and strawberry in the background coming through in a sweet candy-like expression, slightly herbal as well.
The taste was sweet and bready through the previously mentioned fruits; watermelon/wheat aftertaste, watery sticky finish.
On the palate, it sat at/about a light and was sessionable. Carbonation is good for the style as there’s a nice refreshing sort of quality to probably want someone to pound these on a hot day for me, not bad.
Overall, with all of the fruit that I get in this beer, I can definitely see a very nice refreshing aspect to it that would be nice on a hot summer’s day but for me, there could be just a tad too much, basically an average fruit beer to me.
