Can from Brew Cavern. Burgundy colour with a white head. Aroma and taste are tart black currant. Sweet to light sour taste. Medium body.

Can shared with JMD on board Fridtjofen 20.12.18. Dark violet red. Pink head and lacing. Aroma of bay leaves, blackcurrants and skimmed milk. Taste of bay leaves, blackcurrants and lactic acid.

0,44 boks fra Holmens importkoffert, delt med skibsrederen ombord på Fridtjofen mens vi planlegger romjulsbrygging des-18: mørkerød med tett rosa skum som varer. Solbærene kjenner jeg tydelig, koriander og laurbærblad legger jeg derimot nesten ikke merke til. Fin karbonering og bærsyrlig avslutning, så dette blir nesten som å drikke hjemmelaget solbærsaft som har spontangjæret. Frisk og lettdrikkelig, men det var nok med en boks på deling.

440ml can. Pours a mostly clear deep purple colour with a pink head, very good retention. Aroma is full of blackcurrants, definitely bay leaf too and general herbal notes. Taste mostly tart sour blackcurrant, slightly herbal but it seems much of that is the aroma. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Pretty nice fruity saison.

Clear deep ruby red beer, small aery irregular pinkish head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: pretty fruity, bit malty, grains, red berries, funky. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish start, lots of red currants, somewhat bitter, tannins, bit watery. Aftertaste: sourish, spicy touch, little bitter, lemony touch, dry finish, more black currants, somewhat bitter, herbal touch.
