The Norwegian saying "De gamle er eldst" has an English equivalent in "The older the flute, the sweeter the tune". Weihenstephan is the worlds oldest brewery, and we are very proud to have brewed this wonderful Weizenbock with them at Nøgne Ø.

Pours hazy reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, wheat and banana. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long caramel, wheat and banana finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.5%, 30 IBU. Murky brown colour, small off-white head, some yeast sediment in the bottle. Aroma of banana, caramel and brown bread, hints of cloves and solvent. The flavour has also notes of banana, caramel and cloves, a hint of chocolate, noticeable hops. Nice to drink.

Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 23.04.18. Cloudy dark amber. Beige head and lacing. Sweet aroma and taste of sweet medium dark malt, with hints of dried fruits.

Amberfarget lett tåkete med fingerhøyt eggegult skum. Maltig lukt, anis, kongen av danmark drops, brent karamell og rosiner. Middels fylde. Smaker søt karamell, tydelig kardemomme, noe hvit pepper og hvete. Middels lang.

0,33 flaske fra Vinmonopolet Straensenteret, hjemme: uklar brunlig rav med fint skum som varer. Bær, brøddeig og modne bananer i forsiktig aroma og god smak. Fet munnfølelse og mild bitterhet med bananinnslag i avslutningen. Gikk rett inn i komfortsonen.

330ml bottle, batch nr 1906, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. A solid off-white head reduced to a patchy layer leaving clingy lacing on the glass, cloudy, dark apricot coloured body. Spiced dried fruity nose, sweet. Doughy flavours alongside moments of dried fruits followed by ripe banana sweetness to the ending. Soft in the mouth. Sweet version of the style. Satisfying. (Tromsø 03.02.2018).

Flaske 330ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Sentrum. Mørk amber. Middels høyt tett skum som daler veldig sakte. Aroma av krydder & bær. Smaken litt banan & krydder. Bra fylde. Lett tørr ettersmak. Mye bunnfall.
