Bottle shared by Caesar. Dark brown to black color, average sized beige to tan head. Smell and taste malts, raisins, don't really get bourbon barrel aging, but there is some barrel aging in there for sure. Quite alright.

Waxed bottle, like the label, wow this is sharp, bone dry also, light maple, isn’t balanced imo, some licorice, alcohol, needs tuning.

5 July 2019. At Dok Brewing Festival. Cheers to Anke & Ghent beer crew! Hazy dark brown, lasting, small, foamy, beige head. Aroma of vanilla, wet wood, candied dates, raisin, brioche, cake, chocolate, ruby port. Taste is medium to heavy malty sweet, lots of raisin, dates & plum with a touch of vanilla on cake-like maltiness, supported by sourish brambleberry & bitter herbs & wood, leading to a dryish, herbal hoppy finish, more pronouncedly woody, so more dry as well, lingering cake filled with dark fruits & warming bourbon- & port-like alcohol. Medium to full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Rich, full & sweet, good dessert beer.

Black with lasting head. Aroma and flavour have some woody notes next to the dark malts and hints of liquorice too. It has a silky texture. The finish delivers a lot of sweet vanilla Bourbon. Slightly warming from the alcohol.
