Have you got what it takes to tame this brute of an imperial stout? We’ve thrown in enough salted caramel and ‘big boy’ malts to sink a battle ship and fermented it all with a London ESB strain of yeast, and because we love you all, we’ve conditioned it on a ton of cacao nibs for good measure. No longer does the beast strike fear into your heart … for today, you are the ‘Beast Master’.

Creamy tan head left a spotty cover on a rich mahogany coloured still body. Caramel, salted nuts & cocoa aroma - just as the label! Full bodied, greasy, soft & silky on the palate with tickle on the back & clean aft. Caramel, malt, demerara, cocoa, lactose, sweet berries & liquorice tastes. Ooh, what a sipper!

440ml can. Stuffy with hints of green apples in the aroma, salty caramel, toffee, chocolate, cocoa and vanilla notes, hints of solvent. A bit messy.

Can at home in Hackney - thanks to Nellser for picking it up! Pours deep brown with a frothy tan head. Tasty stuff, despite the ingredients it comes across, for the most part, like just a toothy impy stout. Nice richly roasted malts, bittersweet dark chocolate, some booze, burnt caramel, background coffee beans and vanilla. Full bodied, chewy, with massaging carbonation. Warming finish, more layered chocolate, burnt sugars, a little molasses. Solid overall. Drinks pretty smooth for the strength.

Cask @ Victorian Craft Beer Cafe, Halifax. Black with a small off-white head. It's strong, but not quite as much as expected, however this does subdue its roasted malts which have a hint of chocolate about them. Its salty caramel is very stated.
